i've been looking for a decent condition 20's black beauty; anyone have any thoughts or see any red flags on either of these? (this is not a covert spam message; i'm truly looking to buy, not advertised whomever's auction this is).

The electronic landing bay is not an option anymore, it`s already installed. Forgiveness is fine for the replaced clip,..but the light port ?? I think that`s the difference between treasure and sale !i

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

forgive my ignorance: are you saying the hole for the lightbulb is not original to the drum?

No, just that it`s not optional anymore. For $2,600 I would like the choice !i

The scroll pattern drum is probably the better buy I think.

i want to PLAY the drum, not collect, and i'm concerned about the crack in the lug on that one.

I'd find a replacement lug. Mike Curotto, myself, others have them.

If that is unsatisfactory, I'd skip both drums.

The big hole on the flower patterned drum isn't easily fixable. Maybe neither drum is "the one"?

I'd pass on both drums. I have a '29 BB in near mint condition. I paid $3200 for it, but prices were higher then. It's a great player as well. The ones in the $2500 range are bound to have something wrong with them, unless you find a deal.

Good luck.
