This kit is from 1975 and wow what a kit. The tuning is a lot easier than i thought, super fast to tune the full kit to a great pitch. Sure going to take it on a couple of gigs before i re sell the beast.....Thx

They sound really good and look so unique. Cool idea on tuning too. I have to wonder why they did catch on over here in the US.

One of the amazing things about these drums is the sound. There are no lugs on the shell. Another thing is the shells are bigger. Finally thick fibre glass shells. The original fittings were Rogers Swivo Matic but were no good for the weight. Thats why a lots switched to the premier Lokfast or Rogers Tube style. Produced in 1975 and out of business a couple of yrs later. Ivor Arbiter was the guy that sorted the beatles logo plus sold ringo his first ludwig. Also he patented the vibrasonic hayman sound. If you are interested in more history look the guy up. The stranglers drummer plus the jam drummer had used these drums briefly. Jon hiseman was a big user in the day. I think drummers love there drums to look pretty with lugs. Plus the weight of these is a lot more than most drums in production.

Here is Abba live 1977 both drummers using the Arbiter kit. Great shot of them both at the end. Plus they were using the Arbiter snare drum which i also have its a class sounding snare drum.
