Are you commenting that the prices are too high? I can't tell if you're being sarcastic? If so, no need to make comments as such. I've got no problem with you simply telling me that my prices are a bit higher for your taste. I will gladly hear offers.

Try to keep this a cool community - thanks!

yes.

in this economy those prices are too high.

i'm seeing this more and more these days..

i try to tell people what their stuff is REALLY worth (i work in a used music store and i run the drum department and have to appraise every day..its my job!) but then everyone gets offended and freaks out on me.

i'll tell you what i tell everyone else..if you're not willing to take a hit..then hold on to your stuff! that simple!

I agree actually. I also work at a drum shop here in Louisiana. Gear sells for more in shop than it does on eBay simply because individuals aren't looking for 'deals' as much as those on ebay... although here (at our shop), there really isn't market for vintage gear locally. You may be right with the prices being a bit high... its just hard to see all this gear turning on ebay for dirt cheap without trying to move some of my gear to make extra cash in hopes to pick up some of those deals.

I do recall not long ago, 20" EAKs selling for 350 - i believe some of the prices above aren't over priced... Either way, i understand what your saying. Never know when that someone is looking for the something.. (sure you understand that, working at a drum shop)

Thanks man.

i hear you man.

its really quite terrible that people have to take hits and not get the money they deserve. like when you tell someone what their stuffs worth and their face just drops..or a guys comes in and sells his whole kit/cymbals and everything because he got laid off. if i had the money i'd buy it from him and give it back.

worst part of retail to me..sad..but it can't stay like this forever right? and when the markets booming again (Lord willing) some people would be happy that they held on to their stuff!

yeah i must agree. i've bought gear off of guys that have been laid off. I feel terrible because the price is killer and in most cases.. i can't offer them any more.. because i'm still a college student (again working on a drumshop wage) but they insist that they really need the money and your doing them a favor.. although they are completely aware they spent x4 when they bought the gear than what your giving them...

all that can be done is to hope for the best and make smart decisions. International buyers are definitely still paying top dollar for gear!

very true!

i had my first experience with an international buyer on this forum (JoeP-Netherlands) and it went quite swimmingly..never be afraid to ship over seas!
