I've been kicking around the idea of trading a vintage 60s Rogers Kit for a vintage Gretsch kit from the same era.

However, prior to "seriously" considering the possibility, I'd like your input as to what type of Gretsch kit I might expect to be offered in return.

The Rogers Kit is in the company's original Steel-Gray Ripple Pearl finish in the following sizes:

Bass Drum: 14 x 20 Holiday Model (SN 24425) w/ Bread &

Butter Lugs;

Rack Tom: 8 x 12 Holiday Model (SN 24753) w/Bread & Butter Lugs;

and

Floor Tom: 16 x 16 Holiday Model (SN 39304) w/Beavertail Lugs.

The over-all condition of the wrap and the shells on all the drums is EXCELLENT.

The bass drum's got three Swiv-O-Matic collets for mounting two cymbals and the rack tom, as well as the Swiv-O-Matic spur mounts.

Based on the information supplied above, do you believe that I'd be able to trade for a "quality" vintage Gretsch kit from the same era? To cut to the chase, which kit would be considered more valuable from this time period -- the Rogers or the Gretsch and why?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to determine the value of the Rogers' Steel-Gray Holiday Kit, since I haven't found one that's recently sold on the net.

I'm open to ANY AND ALL comments and/or suggestions regarding this issue.

THANKS in advance for your help!
