I bought this cymbal with a Premier 14x4 Royal Ace BDP snare drum. Both were very dirty and were in a loft for Yrs. Here are some pics of cymbal. Need help to identify year of cymbal.....
Vintage 18" Zildjian Cymbal 1595gms Help Needed To Date It
Ive played the cymbal over the weekend and for an 18" it sounds very big. It is an awesome ride very controlled with that sound of the 1960's. Even as a crash again very nice. I have a good selection of cymbals but by far the sound of this is classy...........Thx sean.
More pics of this cool cymbal. Also it looks like it has never been cleaned has a great patina. Im not one for taking all them years of grime off a cymbal.
From the stamp and look of the lathing it is later 50's. Nice looking cymbalCool1
That's beautiful! I love the low-profile bell cymbals - less "clang". Glad to hear it sounds as good as it looks...

FWIW - I have one that looks similar to the one in this thread, same stamp and similar lathing, at 1519g. I use it as a crash.
