Very Rare Premier 2026 Snare Drum

Loading...

Hey there,

Last week I bought a very rare Premier snaredrum.

You might wanna see this.

Its a Premier 2026 Snaredrum with a badge that says,

Symphonic double shell.

The drum looks like the 2000 snare, but this one is made of brass.

It has an inner shell also made of brass.

The snaredrum is 14" and 6,5" deep.

Is there someone who could tell me more about this snaredrum?

Thx already

Use single ply heads, Dip reso (med to low tuning), Amb (tune high) batter. Use candle wax on the edges. Don't over tighten strainer.

If you need new wires, try http://www.baskeyvintage.com/products_snare.html

PS: If you choose to sell it let me know.

Thank you for your help.

Now I got a Coated Diplomat on top and a Ambassador snare at the bottom.

I think you'll be amazed how loose I got those snares. They still sound great.

What is the candle wax for? Easier to tune?

Should I do it with my Heavy Rock 9 too?

PS: I'm sorry but i wouldn't sell it in a 1000 years.

I'll wait. LOL

Candle wax, a trick I learned from one of my Teachers. Running (unscented) candle wax along the edges where the heads come in contact with the shells for ease of tuning with both mylar and calf heads and where at times heads are a hard fit.
