I am hooked on watching the live streaming feed at Smalls Jazz Club in NYC

And the house drum set there is a Canopus bop kit. Almost everyday, it is used by several different drummers and tuned in a variety of ways by each one. It doesn't seem to matter who plays it, it always sounds great. It reminds me of a Gretsch type of sound.

I realize that Canopus isn't a vintage brand yet but they really sound wonderful. Does anyone here have any hands-on experience with them? If so, can you discuss some of the finer points of them? Thanks Burger Kin

The only experience I`ve had with Canopus was dealing with their factory in Tokyo Japan to purchase their tuning key for my collection...They bent over backwards to help me which i was very impressed by and had delivery within 4 days...As for their drums, I`ve never played them so I cannot offer my objective of them...

I just thought that I`d pass along the great customer service I received...

Cheers
