Not to offend anyone.......if you like that wrap, thats great.

My own taste just doesnt like it. It just seems "wrong" to me for a drum set. But hey, to each his own. :)

Like ChristianB said, that's the original name of it, and it is a typical Star made wrap (some Stewarts were a sub-brand of Star, too).

Don't know whether Slingerland had a similar finish at that time, as the Japanese drum companies copied the hell out of American/ European producers at that era ...
