Vdf the wind is out of my sail. To our loved ones!!

I had the unfortunate circumstances of loosing my Dear Mother this past Sunday 6/12/11. I was with here and watched her pass, this is something that will take some time to get my arms around. I have the great fortune of having forum member Kevins as a Neighbor and good friend., Kev thank you buddy!! just venting here.

My Mother was the pushing force in my musical career and passion, she was a Piano teacher when I was very young and hearing her and my older Sister playing the piano was always in the house, when the Beatles rolled along on the tele on Ed Sullivan, the whole family was glued to the tube.

My life after that night was different, I had to play the guitar or drums, I got a guitar first then two years later I was on a drumkit all due to my Mother. I sure do miss her!!

I'm sorry for any losses of any other forum members loved ones it sure hits deep! God Bless!

God be with you Mark. I too was with my Mom when she drew her last breath, days after her 60th birthday in October of '99. Actually, my brother, half-sister, step-father (not my sisters' Dad) and 2 aunts, (her sisters), all of the very close and immediate family there together. Somehow she knew when we were all in the room. She had suffered many months of a horrific form of kidney cancer and was, literally, already gone before the final moments, but she somehow awaited us all to be there when the time came. You see, she had been "gone" for several days, but running on her bodies' own life support.

When we all were present, mournful and quiet, she let out her last breath, and we were all finally relieved, as well as deeply saddened. It is a hard and strange feeling to witness this last event in the life of a loved one.

My brother died 2 months to the day later in a car crash, very late Christmas night. (not Christmas eve, but the night after).

My father had passed almost exactly to the day 10 years earlier, all alone in Huntington, WVa. because we, the three siblings of a different set of kids, me and two brothers, could not get there in time, and he passed alone, in a VA center in Hell, WVa.... I was trapped in Monterey Ca, one brother in Tucson and the other in Atlanta, you guessed it, right after the big Loma Prieta earthquake in Ca in 89 that wrecked a World Series. Mom was in Bonn, W Germany and we siblings spread far and wide, none of within a days travel to the hospital.

I love ya man, prayers coming your way!
