last night at my gig, 3 of the vater quick release mounts would not come off. they were stuck on. we had to use pliers to remove 2 (which I may have stripped my threads on my stands) and the last one I had to take off the top section of the= stand with cymbal still on. it was a diaster, these are a joke, would not recommend these to anyone.

You may read about a murder at Sam Ash today, because I'm gong to raise hell. last night at my gig, 3 of the vater quick release mounts would not come off. they were stuck on. we had to use pliers to remove 2 (which I may have stripped my threads on my stands) and the last one I had to take off the top section of the= stand with cymbal still on. it was a diaster, these are a joke, would not recommend these to anyone.
You are right not a very good product . i bought one just to try it and i had some of the same issues as you, , and before they caused me any more trouble in the garbage it went . too bad it's a good ideal but it just dont preform like it should . so now all my stands have pearl wl 200 wing locks quik release on them. i have no issues with them very happy with them . that i recomend!
