Maybe worth $150 or so. I used to have a set of stars in the 70s. Pretty happy with 'em.

Not a dime more than 200. They are nice, but they are what they are, 70s 9 ply Gretsch wannabes.

Hi, Michael!

In my opinion, jonnistix is right. I follow the advice of this gentleman in all cases regarding logic. I own three sets of Stars. I overpaid for one. I know that but, at the time, I could afford them and thought that they were very cool. I still do! I guess that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". If you can afford this set and it is truly what you want, go for the extra cash. Sometimes, matters of practicality should be thrown out the door. Drummers are a strange breed to which anyone on this forum will attest! Everything is personal. Good luck, amigo!

In Germany it would be worth more than $ 200. The Pearl double pedal could be a nice addition (or sell afterwards). Also the cymbals may hide a bargain (type of hihats?). But the wrap seems to be in pure condition unless it is just the dust of the centuries on it and it shines brightly again after the cleaning.

I also think that you can't go wrong with $ 150 to 200 for it. (You know that Star was the predecessor of today's Tama?)
