Value of Kent Snare drum

Loading...

A good friend has contacted me about someone that has this drum. It's in pretty good condition from the picture. I did some research and looked around the web and found that Red Oyster Pearl is the rarest of Kent's finishes, and was exclusive to them. I may have a shot a buying this drum, but Kent drums, and 6 lug snares in particular, don't seem to have any value. Can I get some input? Case and stand is included.

I was thinking $75-100, but am not sure.

I've always liked that finish and the drum seems to be in good shape.

Barring any major structural issues with the shell, I would think that for 75 you can't go wrong.

Didn't Dave Weckl famously use a Kent snare on one of his sessions?

Red oyster pearl was a uncataloged finish for sure according to coopersvintagedrums kent page. If you can get it for $100 I'd say you got it for a steal.
