Value of a Belloti

I`m see`n at least eight major non repairable cracks,..sure someone could use it as a HH, but a HH will crush it more. As a museum piece,..I see what ya mean,..but not alot of value monetarily there !! It`s not like it`s two hundred years old or even thousands of years,..99% of the collectors will say it`s worthless, except as a museum showpiece !!Any Idea who smashed it all up ?

I have no idea. I do not know the previous owners - was part of a music store inventory sell-off.

I play my HH primarily with my stick tips and do not heavy hit like a thrash metal player beating on the edge. Also, this cymbal needs to be hit very hard in order for any buzz to sound. With use as a bottom hat, would not this use be pretty harmless to this in regards to 'crushing' it. You have experience that can shed light on this?

Respects,

John

Yea I knew that, but some of those I see must be scratches !!

I have experience, both top and bottom of my hats, they are flangeing upward at the edges, slowly turnning it`self into a China !! (no keyhole`n though) Not a little, alot, because the pedal is strong enough to endure it. There MIJ ones. I see that thing completely useless as a hat for me !! It would crush !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Apparently you have a mis-perception of what this cymbal is and the intended use. Look closely at the size and weight. This cymbal is extremely thick and the intended (and actual use) is for the bottom and would never turn inside out like that.
