I'm looking for estimate value for a set of 63 club dates in wmp. It has a matching jazz fest snare. The wrap looks great w a little yellowing.

Thanks.

add 800-1300 to that. Gotta take into account if you're a buyer looking for this kit, or a buyer looking to get the set to sell to a buyer who's looking for this kit -

Hobbs - Are you saying the kit is worth $2500? If I misread your post forgive me, but even Blue Oyster Pearl Club Date kits are only pulling $1200 to $1300. I was being generous estimating the WMP kit at the same price ($1200/$1300 because of the J-Fest and the condition of the kit.)

Unless a Club Date kit is super-rare (because of the wrap, or whatever,) it's going to be hard to find a buyer for this WMP kit willing to pay more than $1200/$1300 for it.

You can buy a brand new one for under $900! Even prices for good condition vintage drums have a ceiling. $2500 would be way over-price for this kit. I could buy -two- vintage Club Date kits in excellent condition for that money.

Again... my apologies if I misread/misunderstood your post.

Hey John -

Just a differing opinion. I've sold a BDP CD kit for 1750 (1925) after ebay fun-fees w/out the J-Fest. So, yeah ... big IF, everything's smoking from re-rings to T-rod tips 2500 is a possibility. I don't like WMP wrap, but some do. Mine had zero darkening/fade & all the hardware was close to perfect. &, mind you, I detailed the entire kit, meaning: removing & Cape Coding all nickel hardware, repainting hoops, etc, etc.

I wouldn't pay 2500. But I'd ask that if all the above was included ... a crazy, ridiculous amount of work.

Chris - I haven't sold anything on ebay in awhile so I'm surprised to hear how much these kits have appreciated. Between you, me and the wall, I still wouldn't pay $2500 for -any- club date kit even if it came with 24k gold plated hardware!

I'm really glad to hear you report the great prices you're getting for your stuff. I have a couple of rare CDs in-stock and it's good to know my investment is safe for now anyway. Thanks for response. I learn something new here every day...

John

PS - I recently acquired a (pre-serial number) Black Galaxy Club Date kit w/4"x14" matching Downbeat snare. If guys are getting $2000+ for standard wraps, my blk. galaxy is worth a lot more than I estimated in my own head. Maybe I should insure them!
