I am so frustrated! I bought a drum off a new member here that very sweet artist snare in wmp to go with my 4 piece slingy wmp kit, and he mails it and the usps guy said on ticket unsecure area can not leave ! (now I have video surveillance and I'm at a dead end )schedule for redelivery or pick up at P.O. Now it was attempted on wed before thanksgiving btw hope every one here had a great day , so on fri I go there and ask but I just knew deep[ down something was not right , and, of course now it grew legs and walked, and no one knows anything about it, if it would of been my regular mail man he knows I get drums and would of left it I am thinking the snare was left on, or he or she heard it rattle and his or her kid has a new drum under the tree LOL... I know I'm am assuming but what else can you think, so one of the po people said I don't want to sound facetious, but mishaps happen I told him he was , so I asked to speak to a supervisor who keeps saying ill call you twice I called him and its like I am sorry but we cant find it so this is a big joke to them , the worst thing I was so pumped about completing that slinggy kit( and haven't been excited in a while ) now I am just plain ol mad, I know the vdf member did not have bad intentions but, I swear don't USE THE USPS ITS A GAMBLE !!!nightmare in Chicago to be continued....

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
That`s too bad!! I hope the package was insured for full value...In the least, you will get your money back...
I recently had problems as well, but, it was with a seller not packaging the drum properly and UPS destroying it...

you knows it is not about the money but maybe your right maybe the packaging was broke as he had a snare stand in it too ...it was a sweet ass drum looks like seller said po found drum and is making its way back to me we will see ......

I wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes things get misplaced, or sent in the wrong truck. Bet you get it this next week.

Yes hopefully they will find it and all will be well. The part about them [po] thinking it was a big joke can never be corrected though. Hate when that happens.

Few years back I had a custom drum head delivered. Fed Ex showed it delivered, nothing in front of my house. I call them, they assure me the driver dropped it off at my house....again no package. And to make it better we had a few feet of snow ( roads and driveway were very clear ) After hours of back and forth with Fed Ex, random person pulls in my drive way,opens the car door, and has my drum head. Fed Ex told me that if the person isn't home, they drop the box with a neighbor. First I never saw this lady before in my life, lived here all my life. But more importantly, if I am not home, why would you leave it with anyone else unless told to? In my case it all panned out, I'm holding the hope it will for you as well. USPS is shotty. Their tracking system is way of, and they just run behind.

Up here in Canada, USPS is the only way to go for packages from the US - the couriers, especially UPS, have outrageous fees tacked on. This isn't to argue or dismiss others' experience, just that the contrast is interesting.

I had a situation like that, only it was with UPS here in Canada. They are the reason i refuse to ship or buy anything that is not local..They're customer service was pathetic, and these blind idiots had two of my parcels in their receiving warehouse and didn't even realize it.. Not only that, but the stupid a55 driver made me come out in my bathrobe at 9:45 am in -30ºC weather and help him carry the boxes up two flights of stairs, out doors.. He also had the gall to tell me that i was "lucky" that i even got the package, and that "we're not charging you" for this "service".. I actually told him to his face, that he was the laziest, most incompetent and imbecilic delivery guy ever,and that UPS was the worst shipping company. I proceeded to say that it was the company's fault, and they should give me a discount.. He chuckled and walked away.. This is UPS Canada.. I called their head office and made my complaint to management..All they could do was apologize and say that they weren't responsible for the actions of their drivers.. UPS is the absolute worst shipping company on the planet, no doubt about it..
