I just recently picked up a 7 pc Pearl Maple shell kit made in the USA. Does anyone know when these kits were made? Any information would be great. Thanks and have a great day.

Must see pics!!...That's as rare as US Mapex.
I believe Pearl started assembling drums with maple shells in the US during the early 80's.
Looking for a late 80's to early 90's, preferably Arctic White Pearl MLX 14x14 floor tom.
I have seen versions of my GLX drums from 1985 that have made in USA badges. I was told that the shells were made in the usa? The Pearl Drummers forum might be able to help (hopefully that forum is not on the banned list)
Pearl used Keller shells in the 80's
Thanks guys. I will try to get a few pictures posted in the next few days. I had a feeling it was an 80s kit. It has the rectangular spined lugs. Nothing fancy. The snare is 8x14 with a super sensitive throw. Definitely a big rock kit.

The Keller site actually used to state which companies they supplied in the past, now its simply says it supplied major drum brands or something
