UPDATE: Champagne Sparkle wrap info from the horse's mouth (and I'm STILL confused)!

Delmar still supplies the large drum companies with the wrap, so I'm sure they have a lot of the material in stock. For example, Delmar supplies Gretsch with Original Champagne Sparkle wrap for their USA Custom line, and the cheaper New Champagne Sparkle for their Catalina line.

Hi Champagne Sparkle fans, just wanted to post up a pic of my 1967 Rogers to show a difference in color. From the front view the two toms between the bass drums were only used for one yr. then packed away in cases and never used again and as a result are lighter in shade and true to the original color. The other drums saw 15 yrs. of use in smokey clubs thus have turned a more golden color but have not faded thro` time or maybe the atmosphere they were in has hidden that potential fade.Almost looks like the two with one yrs use have faded but not so,as that was the true original color of Champagne Sparkle.Just wanted to point out the difference in shade here and what can happen in different circumstances over time.

I have a long wrap crack in one tom(9x13) and may be interested in going in on this bulk wrap purchase if the price can come down to about half of the said $250.00 per sheet as Purdie suggested.I`ll be watching this post with interest.

When I get paid from my latest project I would be game for going in on a bulk buy. I need enough to wrap one 3 piece kit and bass drum in lays. Other than that I am sure all the extra we could trade off among forum members. I think we should get an idea of how many people are interested for a bulk buy. At $250 a sheet though even slapping $1k at the problem wont get us very far.

Yeah, I don't think Precision/Jammin Sam/etc. are founded on the principle of "Money? No thanks!"

I don't enjoy parting with my cash, but I'd rather go $500 deep and get the wrap I want than $300 deep and get wrap I don't really like. The first is an investment, the second wasting money.
