Unusual Rogers Find

Loading...

I found this kit from a guy who's selling a bunch of drums on cl. It has has an 8x12, 12x15, 12x20, must be a re-wrap, I don't believe Rogers ever offered this finish. The floor is a converted marching snare with a Yorktown tag. The 12x20 is somewhat rare from what I've heard.

I'm debating whether to buy it, but I'm not sure what a fair price would be, any thoughts?

The bass drum claws and t-rods don’t appear to be Rogers, if that matters anything to you.

I know they're not original and it doesn't matter considering the other issues. I just want some opinions of what to offer or not even bother.

Would make a nice players set up. Definite restoration issues.

The bd is unusual size. Points off for extra holes with the tom mount (sloppy placement). As mentioned, T's & claws issue.

The finish is not original unless an unusual sun fade?

The tom conversion is sloppy with leg mount placement.

B&B lugs are always a challenge..............

To even break even you will need a very nice price I think. If you want a project to play - only reason I would invest time and money.

Tangerine sparkle re-wrap, and odd sizes, IMO. I wouldn't bother, but that's only my opinion. I'd say maybe $400 if you really want them as a restoration project. Ditch that 12x15 marching drum and get yourself an orphan Rogers B&B floor tom that needs work. I can't see a 12x20 giving you any kind of real depth.
