Unknown vintage THOMSON FRIGECO kit

Loading...

Hello, I'm new here and I'm not drummer.

10 days ago I started a new topic on DFO drum forum.

I'm bass player but I love all vintage musical instruments.

I bought an unknown, vintage drum kit to my home studio. Interesting piece, all shell are metall.

There are more than 1400 views on the DFO forum, but nobody can't help me.

I'd like to know the age and the place of manufacture.

Is there anybody who knows it?

Thanks!

HI, I posted on that topic over there as did probably a few other members here. I was thinking it was either Italian, German, Swiss, or Hungarian or Eastern European in make. If you were in the USA I'd definitely want to have a closer look. Have you taken pictures of the insides of the shells?

Are the drum sizes metric or international? This might help determining the age of them..

Those are extremely cool! The hoops are of the sticksaver variety, the tom mounts are really top notch looking as well, and the shells look to be stainless steel. My bet is, from the spelling, they are likely Swiss or Austrian boutique built. Are the hoops bent on the two toms?

Only On the little tom is a bent hoop. I hope I can repair it.
