unknown snare drum

Loading...

Hi everybody,

I'm new in the forum and I'd like to know if there is anyone that could help me in identifying a vintage snare drum that I restored a few months ago. Unfortunately, on the shell there aren't holes for the badge and no logos stamped on the old wrap that I replaced. Thank you in advance for your time.

From the way the shell is build-i would say this is Tromsa! Also RKB brings me to that point! But i never saw a strainer and those lugs on Tromsa Drums! Could be Trowa or Tacton also! Some german brand i am quite sure!

Thank you so much!

I have been searching for days on internet about the west german drum companies but I can't find nothing similar to this snare.

The strange thing is that it has no label or badge: how it is possible?

Also the lugs mounted are not helpful to determine which model could be.

Grazie Luca!

Grazie, ora almeno so dargli un nome! :-)

Big yes to Luca.

Hexagonal head bolts immediately tell us about italian drums... :)

Cheers,

George.

From hipercussion

Hi Luca, I never personally have not seen any Eastern European old drums with hex head bolts - always slot only, or square.

Well, but I really heard about some models of polish Szpaderski drums with hex bolts.

Cheers,

George.
