Just picked this up from a flea market of all places! Beautiful example of purple diamond pearl in what I believe to be a “cozy cole” with the snare being swivomounted off of the bass. Ultra unique and ultra cool! I would imagine it would’ve been factory with at least a rack tom. Any info you could give me would be great!
Uncatalogued purple diamond pearl Rogers cozy cole
And the classic Camco pedal thrown in for good measure!
Well done! And, look at the size of the "Rogers" logo on the bass drum! How cool is that!

Pretty wild! I’m picking some B&B lugs in the next few days for the snare! Now to track down a rack tom!
If you don't mind me asking, did you get a deal? Was this an informed seller or a what-can-we-fit-in-the-truck-this-week seller?
Currently looking for a 3-ply 24x14 Ludwig in champagne sparkle w/rail consolette and cymbal mount!
Good luck finding a matching tom. I would suggest that you find orphan rack and floor toms that you can re-wrap. Once you clean up the two rums you now have, take good photos of the wrap at distances of five feet, three feet, and close up. Bum Wraps can print an image of it on wrap that is cut to size for your drums. They did a terrific job for a very reasonable price to recreate a rare two tone Duco wrap for one of my drum set projects.
My first pro drum set was a Rogers set that I ordered in 1961 from a catalog at a local music store. The set was comprised of Holiday series drums with a 14x20 bass drum, 16x16 floor tom, 8x12 rack tom, and matching Holiday snare drum. I chose Black Diamond Pearl. I ordered the set with Swivomatic mounts on the bass drum for the rack tom, the snare drum, and a disappearing cymbal rod. I don't have a real good picture of that set, but this one should help to give you an idea of how it looked.
A couple of years ago, I was fortunate to acquire a Purple Diamond Pearl Walberg & Auge snare drum. Walberg & Auge did trade outs with Rogers. W&A made many hardware items for Rogers, and traded for drum shells and drum wrap from Rogers for making their own brand of drums. They often traded for dead inventory from Rogers, Gretsch, Ludwig, and others.
There was a fairly rough cheap tom to get you going until the right one pops up. The feebay sellers name is fdc723. He posted it a few times at around 89.00.
Killer score! congrats on pulling in some purple Rogers. The bass having the inlay strips and proper swivo arms for the bass drum is special. The Camco pedal should stay with the set because it is era correct for this set. Too cool with 13466 and 13468. You should be on the search for 13467 lol!
great color!

Thanks Gary I messaged that seller in case he has any other orphans. I could live with the wrap crack but there are additional holes under every single lug unfortunately. That’s the deal breaker. Yep the serial numbers means my tom is out there somewhere! The serial number on that eBay post is within 100 I believe!

He was educated enough to know how incredibly rare it was but missing at least a drum and some lugs. It was a hole in the wall flea market in the middle of absolutely nowhere. There was just buyers whatsoever so it say for a while. I didn’t get it for less than $100 but an incredible deal I couldn’t pass up the rarity of it.
