Wait a minute, Where did I see that Acrolite? Sorry, that was a Slingerland, edit to correct reply. Did we not just have a thread on this drum? I think we just had a round of discussion on it, or one similar to it, and didn't several surface? Anyway, hope all goes well for both, or the seller likes his own purchase.....
7 fb seller and 0 fb "buyer"....I smell a fish.

Winning bidder has zero feedbacks.... Hmmmmmm
Seller only has seven ( and he hopes eight, now ).........Hmmmmm
Hope the buyer is happy , I know the seller is !!!
Somewhere, there are rude emails in the works for this one. No way that's gonna fly. On a clear day wearing 3 four-leaf clovers in the pocket of your lucky bowling shirt while carrying a freekin' leprechaun on your shoulder, you wouldn't get this kind of money. Me thinks the buyer is composing the first of many "you suck and so does your drum" emails at this very moment. No monies will change hands.
OK, so it is a rare bird, a 10 lug Acrolite. But 800 bucks???I know mine is in excellent condition and has, IMHO, a better throw than the original, but dang.....no way I'm payin 800 bucks for an Acrolite, even if it does have 2 extra lugs....so, reckon he sold it to someone making an offer?
Please don't call an aluminum Slingerland an Acrolite.....thats insulting Ludwig...LOL! :D

Auction lasted 5 days, man... sold for $510 at end of auction, man...
it's a Slingerland student aluminum shell model 140 man,... Starbucks is just around the corner man.....
Just ribbin' 'ya man.....:):):)
You may be right ... in the last 30 days, the only other bidder in the auction has placed only 9 bids, and all of them are with that seller.
But, the seller has only sold 2 other items in the last year both in Nov. ... an Acrolite and a Pork Pie little squealer, both for reasonable prices. So if they were trying driving up the price on those two, they were unsuccessful.
