Unbelievable# 2, for sale 187 pc kit $35,000 Last viewed: 5 seconds ago
Hmpf. No wing nuts, felts or rubber feet mentioned in the 187 pieces? Are they not included? And I thought the Phoenix-based CL posts were suspect. Must be the humidity........we miss that, here.Cooked Egg
Tell you what for a extra k we can also throw those in,, and did I mention that you can channel Elvis with this kit!!!!!!!!!
Channel Elvis? Um.....hmm. I'm getting something here....wait! Please don't tell me to burn them and then rub the ashes of the floor-tom on my forehead. I tired that once.......once! I did not see the future..... Also, a glimpse into the future should not cost $36K. A buck three-80, tops.
I love these ads. The guy is really getting in to letting those idiots have it. I have seen some ads that just boggle the mind, and apparently this guy is tired of seeing them in his CL pages. And really, he probably would sell his stuff for that. I wonder who he is, because that is no mere hobbyist drummer, with all that crap to tote around, he is a pro.....

Someone should tell the poster that about 96% of all drums made since the beginning of the 20th century are plywood.......DOH

Guys, don't you get it? This guy is mocking those who think their Chinese crap is actually worth more than it is. And he is trying to get thru to someone that the stands, "thrown", "simbols", extra t-rods and "pedols" are not counted towards the net drum set. Have you not seen those CL Chinese wonders that are listed as 17 pc sets? I have, and just roll my eyes in astonishment. I think he did a great job on this ad, and I wish some of the idiots with those $400 wonders would get a clue. And I am pretty sure he knows drums are plywood, unless aluminum, brass, steel, fiberglass or some other material is used in the constuction of his drums. Look at the collection that guy has, I say again, he is a pro, not some knee slappin' fool with stix taped to his paws. Read it again, he is making fun of ignorance and stupidity. I have a motto I live by: "Ignorance may be overcome through education, stupidity, however, is a life-long endeavor". He is trying to cure a little ignorance. Cool Dude

I did read it, and I do understand that he is mocking, but THE POSTER OF THE AD is the one who kept saying "plywood crap"......like I stated, most drums are plywood since the beginning of the last century, not all but most. The guy made fun of all those other rediculous ads, yes. BUT, he undid himself as sounding like he knew what he was talking about by stating "I know some of you want to believe your plywood kit is worth something and you have to "buff" it up some to make it sound better than the plywood it is made out of, but don't."
:confused::confused::confused:
SOME plywood drums ARE worth a fortune! For example: vintage Ludwig, vintage Gretsch, vintage Sonor, vintage Rogers, vintage Leedy, vintage Slingerland...........shall I go on? :D
