Two cool things on Sleazebay

Check out this Crown snare. Was the logo really purposely that off center? Does it interfere with the fitting of the bottom head?

Also, check out this no badge 6 piece blue sparkle kit. Really like the rich color of this one! Pretty rare 6 piece configuration. Totally dig the matching blue sparkle seat! They guy wants $550.................that's a little steep, but still cool.................. Any guesses on the maker?

First I thought that this was a re-wrap. But would someone do the re-wrap of a cheap drummer's seat? 'No.'

The snare throw-off appears to be from Star, the lugs at the toms, too. But the ones at the bass drum look different. The spurs appear to be put later on.

I can't see the rail concolette clear enough to make a statement for that.

I have my doubts that any MIJ kit of that era ever came with two floor toms (unless both have the same size).

Sorry, no idea.

But US-$ 550 are much to much. Much less than the half would be a fair price (considering the 'no name' kit).

Agreed with previous commenter, I'd say $250-300 would be top dollar for those, and that only because of the extra floor tom.

By no means does it mean that the kit is a Star kit, but Star did sell a covered throne very similar to the one pictured, in a red or blue sparkle. The finish edge of the stool doesn't look original, I think it should be banded in metal. I think it was in the 1972 catalogue.

Again that doesn't mean the kit is Star. The kick drum claws look like Star, and so do the lugs...

I agree with Ralf, those kick spurs don't look right. The other odd thing is I think I can see a vent hole on the far floor tom, but I don't see one on any of the other shells, so the re-wrap must have covered them over. I would say that means that the far floor tom does not belong to the re-wrap kit, and was added later.

Sorry guys, this is a Pearl kit. The spurs are correct. The strainer is a late 60s very early 70s made by Pearl. Look also at the lugs on the snare, yet another indication of Pearl. I do agree the pricing guide as give, 275-300 max.
