Would anybody know wich Modell this set ist?

The year it was build, type of wood (poplar/beech?) and some facts about the kit?

You will find a listing of Tromsa catalogues by year with the information about your kit here on this website:

That is a beautiful drumkit you have! All the best to you!

Beautiful little kit,I assume the BD hoops were added later?

From what I can remember reading Tromsa used poplar, beech and maybe birch.

You should be able to tell beech from poplar pretty easily, the poplar wood from north america that was used for drums was Tulip Poplar, actually in the Magnolia family, has a much less attractive and less discriptive grain and the color of the wood is much yellower with green tinges in some cases.Euro drums could have been made with real poplar which is a different wood.

Thanks for all your info!

I also think that the BD hoops were added later. All the drumset in the catalogues have hoop-inlays.

Looks like a Tromsa Luxor or Kings from the 60s! Could also be a Roxy Set! Most of this old Sets do have beech poplar shells some are beech only!

These set you have there looks great! BD hoops mostly were metal and the wooden ones had inlays! These hoops are later added!

Very warm Sound -not very loud but one of my favorite Vintage Drum Companys!

Thanks for your help Christian!

The seller (JouwDrumstel.nl in the Netherlands) sold it as a Tromsa set. He sell a lots of vintage stuff, so I assume he knows what he selling. It look likes it's a kind of badge on the top of the bassdrum, but I have to wait and see when I receive them (was shipped yesterday).

I've got a very good and detailed answer from Ekkehard Pfau (http://home.arcor.de/pfaue/tromsa/tromsa.htm ) :

This Kit is a "Kombination 711/4"

The wrap is "Blau Schiefer"

The year of manufacture is between 1960 and 1966.

Catalogue-Price was DM 784,00 in the mid 60's

TROMSA used two types of wood. The shells of snare, toms and floortoms are made of poplar, with beech reinforcement rings. The bassdrum shells are made of beech, with beech reinforcement rings.

The bassdrum-hoops are not the original ones. Normally, they are white laquered and have an inlay of the same wrap

or are comletely wrapped, with white laquer stripes on the edges.

The bracket of the bassdrum-cymbal holder is from a later TROMSA series (ca 1975). Normally, it is the same as the brackets of the floortom legs.

The RKB bassdrum head on pedal side seems to be the last remaining original head on this kit. If you take it off and have a careful look at the upper side of its aluminium ring, you may spot a stamped-in date mark. The RKB drumheads were stamped those years, but the marks often hide in oxidation.... If you find one, this is how to decode: "9 65" means "September 1965"

As this set comes from Netherlands, it may have been sold under "Kings" Brand. But it is 100% TROMSA.

Hihat and pedal are from far-east origin, somewhere late 60's to early 70's. With the snare-stand, I am not sure. To me, it seems not to be TROMSA. But it is very similar.

From Jaksdal

I just got this TROMSA kit from the 60s!

Nice kit! Congratulation Jackdal !

I assume he knows what he selling.

I have a big doubt...

I saw on that site sold 'green striped' wrapped kit as 'king/trowa' --- it's a silliness because Trowa is a east german kit but King is a Tromsa brend.

And indeed the one his set was real Lefima...
