the listing calls this mod-yellow----an exclusive Trixon wrap. but according to the info. that I have from Trixon catalogues, the only such colour was TX-18, YELLOW-GOLD SPARKLE. Trixon did indeed have a very light Gold Sparkle wrap with very fine particles(about a 1/4 the size of current wraps). It is about midway in hue between the current Gold Sparkle or Glitter out there and the Lemon Sparkle/Glitter that is also out there. as I have previously indicated on other posts---it seems that there was one wrap maker in Western Europe during the 50's/60's/70's and there is a lot of overlap between the various drummakers finishes. this one was also used by Tromsa, at least, as early as 1959 as represented by a high-end Roxy(made by Tromsa) kit( 5x14 parallel drop,10x8,13x9,14x10,21 1/2 with 4 spurs) that I own from around that year. I am currently looking for a piece of said wrap to redo the floor tom; the current stuff doesn't match at all. It really is a beautifull wrap in person,most of those Trixon pictures don't do it justice; deep,early morning sheen on the horizon,glossy, yet with a perfect balance of brilliance and subtlety. ...and yes sour mash and b-vitamins do make a strange brew.

Got my wrap, and the rod and claw I was missing, plus a bass drum logo, but need the pre-int bass drum heads and the time to get stuck in of course! Also need badges, but they're a bit pricey - going to keep my eyes open for them too. Thanks for asking. Will post pics in the dim and distant future when it's all done!
