Just picked up this early 60's Telstar in Blue Stripe with early teardrop lugs, i've been told its pretty rare??

rack tom 13"

floor 16" and 20"

bass drum 16" 20"

needs the right bass drum legs and dampener screws which are on order, otherwise all pretty fine apart from a good clean to the chrome!

That's a sick kit i real like the finish . trixon made some real exotic drums , i never had the pleasure of playing on a kit like that ,i'm sure it must be a blast. WAY COOL!!!!!

Thanks all for the great comment and glad you like the new kit:

Just found out some more information on it to share with you all:-

The Kit is catalogued as an early 1962 , as the floor tom is the same size as the bass drum, and the smaller side of the floor tom is used as the batter side, that was reversed in 64' and the lugs were changed to square!!

The Rack Tom has 8 teardrop lugs on the 14" side and 6 on the 13" side which was also changed to 8 lugs on either side shortly before the new lugs were introduced, so this now aids to confirm that this new purchase is one of the first models!

Thanks again all and i am now looking for the Trixon Logo front headed skin for the bass drum but meantime may have to use the stick on one temporarily.

I THINK BENTLEYS DRUM SHOP MIGHT HAVE TRIXON DECALS YOU CAN BUY.
