Too bad things didn't work out. I had a seller who decided AFTER I'd payed him through Paypal that I was a scammer. The guy went psycho on me and called me everything in the book. At least he refunded my money. Since then, I've stayed away from CL and the like. eBay has its problems, but at least you can shop there in relative safety.

It's hard not to take a very high emotional road in such a situation but then,there are legitimate reasons why someone might behave in such a paranoid way. Serious mental disorders seem to be increasingly common ----and the poor fellow might not be in control of his thoughts. The fact that I now know that he is a retired police officer, in some way helps to explain the fact that he gravitated to allusions to bullets and guns and my vulnerability to him and his team. Police are not known for their common sense and or sense of right and wrong at the best of times, let alone when the synapses aren't connecting properly.
He is best left alone. I wouldn't want some unsuspecting innocent soul, close at hand to him ,take the brunt of his anger towards me.
Well. I emailed and had one back. I was just in the process of arranging a payment option and a shipping fee when I received 2 death threats from the guy--------- me and my family. Either he is a complete whack job or his email is being hacked. Goes by the name of Hans Bjork but comes from the email of Milton Pallin. very peculiar. He apparently has cohorts everywhere and you can't run and hide.
...so sorry to hear that you too had the same experience...just got back from holiday...not sure where to start...but ditto on this comment..i actually rang the guy and spoke to him about the snare...then he asked me to e mail him and dictated on the phone exactly what to put as he was a retired policeman and didnt want scammers!!...he then thanked me for the call and then...6 disgusting e mails later including death threats..hunting me down and filling me with lead!!!!...thought i was the only one... needless to say don't think i'll be buying the drum anymore!!...yeah the wife also saw the bananas...and said that should have given me a BIG clue!!!!

didn't know that was the one you were buying, Dave. i became aware of it about a day after you mentioned your new black Trixon------did think it was odd that two black older Trixon drums would surface so close in time together. maybe the drum isn't really for sale? maybe , he just likes sending out threatening emails. some people have weird hobbies.

So there's more people than me that had been threated by this madmen... I gave him an offer of 500SEK (abt 55eur)plus shipment (the price he asked for in the ad), he replied that he had a few other offers and said that he aint gonna sell it to me for 500:- I replied and congratulated him that it was a quite fair bid for a snare in that condition and after that he just went crazy... He sent me several deathtreats, ttelling me that he had contacted the president of his crew and that some of their men should hunt me down to brake all bones in my body, he also gave me a call and told me to meet up at a local resturant and bring 20K in cash...

Hi..sorry to hear you had to go through the same abuse as myself and calfskin..and yes i was totally relieved to see that i was not the only one, as the threatening behaviour was very bad and quite disturbing to receive..

That's why they never showed the body. He's living in a small town in northern Sweden and communicating to his followers through cheap advertisements for odd things..
