Trixon Experts?

Loading...

You know how we have guys here that know every part by name and what years they were used down to the screw on Rogers and Slingerland, etc.? Is there anyone that has a high level of confidence on Trixon drums. I have just acquired an almost complete Telstar kit with stands and pedals. I have a couple of questions on some of the hardware. Could someone who really knows this company please let themselves be known so that I can either post or PM a couple of questions?

Thanks alot.

Regards,

Gary

Hi Gaz,

Without wanting to direct you ex-forum (but doing so anyway) Ingo Winterberg who runs the dedicated Trixon fansite http://www.trixondrums.de has been helpful to me (and it turns out the kit I was asking about wasn't even Trixon but he identified it anyway).

Plus he's in Germany where I'm guessing the bulk of the bits still are......think I have his direct email somewhere if you P.M. me but the one on the site works just fine.

Cheers,

David

Thanks Antipodes for trying to keep things here!

Ingo is a cool guy and very helpful and a great resource for Trixon. I realize we can't answer everything and instead of giving sketchy incorrect info I would rather send them to another source.

In fact, I might put together a list of the different sources I use and people that are friends of the forum.

Better Yet, the main links page is a good starting point. It is on the upper banner, to the far right.

Gentlemen,

Thank you very much for the hook up. The page was perfect and I floated an email regarding the parts I want. Incidentally, I bought the kit on eBay from a German fellow who was great to deal with. My first overseas transaction. It took about two weeks to get to me but it was a flawless transaction and shipping was not off the charts. Also the drums sound just fine. I was worried. Not the best materials but very innovative design with all parts functioning after 40 or so years. Hide away floor tom legs, plastic insulation between the lugs and shell, inward turned flanged hoops, rubber surfaced pedals, with cool/unique bass drum t-rod/claw combo. Screwdriver head t-rods on all but the bass drum batter side (oh well, no one's perfect). I'll post a pic shortly.

Peace,

G
