Hello all! This may be a bit after the fact, but did you all see the absolutely MINT Trixon kit that sold yesterday on eBay for $10,000?!!!! Unbelievable! I doubt there will be another offering like this. Here's the link...

Yes - I followed it.....pretty impressive.

I say it's about time (I know I'm repeating myself here) that drums are starting to catch up to guitars and some other instruments.

Encouraging, but the last bidder besides the winner bowed out at $5001.00...

Hope the seller gets paid, it's a helluva piece of history.

WOW !!!

If someone is willing to pay big bucks, and probably wait for several weeks, Remo will make the heads on special order. If I owned a set with this shape of bass drum, I would definitely have a spare batter side head for it.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

That's a good idea to have Remo make some special order heads. Also - maybe one could buy some unglued wood flesh-hoops and custom fit them to the bd and tuck some nice calfhide heads. That would be not too hard to do I think.

So much for that 'bad economy keeping prices down' discussion. Rare quality drums will always bring out buyers with deep pockets.

I've been following the auction and never dreamed it would get that high. Trixon screams vintage cool.
