I ran across this Trixon kit on cl and I'm wondering what the market is for these particular drums. It's in an aqua sparkle that has some fade, thanks.

He isn't too far out of bounds with his prices, perhaps a tad high. Luxus are the "normal" Trixon drums, otherwise those would be great prices if they were Speedfire or Telstar. They're both best offer, see how low you can go. The blue kit is probably post '64, gold is '64 or older. Chrome looks pretty good for the age.
Varying degrees of fade is to expected on those - Trixon wraps are noted for that. The fade on the blue kit isn't bad for that color.
The blue kit is missing a screw for the bass spur and tone control; I'd ask to see if anything else is missing, as some parts for Trixon can be hard to find. The gold kit looks complete, including the cymbal arm/tilter (damnear impossible to find).
With good tuning, they'll sound fine, especially the kick. Like vintage Sonor, shells are beech with full roundover bearing edges, interiors with clear lacquer.
So, you think $600-700 would be a fair price?
I'm asking anyone, the owner wants $950 for the champagne kit and $750 for the Aqua kit. I don't know if that's a fair price, I can't find any similar kits that have sold, I have nothing to compare it to. So I'm hoping someone here knows more about there value than I do.
I paid $800 for a '67 Luxus ... non-faded red glitter, great chrome, a few scratches, no cymbal tilter, Trixon cymbal and hihat stands, snare w/strainer mechanism intact.
In that regard, he's high.
Ok thanks, now I have a better idea what to offer.
