I see bucket-loads of these for sale on Quebec Kijiji. I figure they don't have much resale value, but have always wondered if they make for decent players kit.

I,ve seen them. Very thin shells, no rings, but the wood appeared to be a very nice grainy maple...maybe birch?. Made in Taiwan and I think its coming out of the Mapex/Sonor bldg. because the tom mounts are almost Mapex. I would buy a shell pack only, but it seems players are dumping the whole thing with cymbals, stands etc.
