A question i have a 70's Ludwig 5 pc set in black complete with Zild's ZBT'S cymbals.Set in very good condition i was asking 700.00..This guy wants to trade me a 1941 Martin 0-18 guitar even for the set.Guitar is in good condition has the case.So my question is what does a guitar like that sell for?? Is this a good trade?? Help....Mikey

Provided the guitar isn't hot, poorly repaired or refinned, you're getting the better end of that trade. I am thinking you're looking at a $3K guitar.

Without seeing the repair, a bad repair can cut the price in half. I always had a blacklight handy when I would look at guitars (you can spot a repair/refin pretty easy with a blacklight), but on natural finish guitars, repairs stick out. You probably would have still came out on top of that deal depending on how bad the repair is, but if your gut tells you not to do it, you were probably correct.
