a very good friend of mine was Barrett Deems protégé.

he has a whole bunch of stuff that used to belong to Barrett. (including a 16" and 18" timpani that Ludwig made for Barrett..only ones we know exist)

he also worked with Louie Bellson and Buddy Rich.

Buddy gave him a small accent cymbal for payment once.

sad part is..he has no way to prove any of it.

which means all that stuff is not worth nearly as much as it could be.
