once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Maybe on the hoops, yes. Most are fine with that. I say no on the interiors. Always makes me worry as to why they were repainted. I'd rather see fugly original.

So does anyone know if the original vintage Ludwig Mod Orange had a coated interior? I had a set which was black, but I think the owner prior to me coated them...... Trying to bring back to original.... BTW have single bass, two mounted and floor toms with matching serial numbers... YEAH!

All depends on how early they are. Some of the first issued would have had the white resacote interiors. The serial numbers would help us to date them and answer the question better. Also, baseball bat mufflers or round knob mufflers?

Sorry my mistake, not completely matching numbers.... 458237 ST, 457361 MT, 458128 FT, 457355 Bass. Looks like residue indicates white resocoat.

Does anyone know a current reaplacement coating?

Also baseball mufflers......

Thanks!

Those numbers are certainly close enough to be an original kept together set, most certainly. Should be '67s and as you mentioned with white resacote interiors.
