Man, you shouldn't have told me that story! Now, I'll have nightmares about it. There are some things in life that you just don't want to know! Ghod, $200. Can you imagine what it would go for today! I would have figured it would sell for somewhere between $1000 & $1500 for the single drum.

Were there any black galaxy marching snares manufactured that anyone knows of?

I don't mind the spartan set-ups either. Played a lot of jazz gigs with an 18" kick, snare, hats and a ride. If I only had one tom, I think I would prefer a floor but I wouldn't give a second thought to playing out with that kit.
