Jim,
Any idea on the brand?
This looks exactly like the first throne I ever owned, except mine came with a green seat instead of red. Mine also had a back rest, which it appears yours is also made to have (from the looks of the underside).
Mine came with a 50s Gretsch set that I bought while in HS (70 or 71)...
Thanks,
Bill
BTW -- duh, but I didn't realize the lugs posted (and I was talking about) were yours. I think you'll end up getting a good price for them...
Sorry, I have no idea what brand it is. There's not a single mark on it, except what looks like some pencil (somebody's name). The throne was stuffed in a gig box that came with a 50s era Gretsch set I bought this summer. The lugs fetched one bid, happy about that. I've just accumulated way too many extras - picking up another set tomorrow, so the pile of extras will grow!
that looks like the throne that came with my Apollo kit in the mid 70s. . . James
I think this throne is like many of us had in the beginning. Mine looked identical (but new) in '64, and came with my 1964 W&A kit. It probably was made by them in Worcester.
