I know that Novus is a Godsend on wrapped drums. What is the equivalent for lacquered finishes?
Normally when just doing general polishing and cleaning, I use furniture polish. I want to try and do my best to cover some scuffs, scrapes and dings. What are some products and tricks that you use to polish up and make "used" lacquer shells look as good as they can?

Novus #2 actually works really well on lacquered finishes.

Treat it like a guitar! I owned a music store and refinishing lacquer finishes came up regularly. I would treat the lacquer finish on a drum the same way I would treat a guitar finish. Go here for materials and instructions:

3m Finesse-It 2 gets a lot of fine scratches out of lacquer, especially since it's used in body shoppes.
This pass year I redone my drums once again ....
I think it turned out a little bit better then the First time i did them ..

yes i do keep my old old old Zildjian A's very clean .Have some dust on them now .I just haven't got around to cleaning them yet
