All around good guy and a real standout drummer. And I could actually survive, and probably even enjoy, quarantine time with him, unlike Buddy Rich, whom I'd probably have to shoot at some point. Cool Dude

I've seen Sheila E. play on a couple of occasions. She has way too much energy and stamina for an old coot like me to be even be thinking such thoughts! You guys are my friends and, to be honest, she'd be gravely disappointed!

For me it's a tie:

I'll take Dave Weckl and his late 80's burgundy Recording Customs. Since I watched that "Back To Basics" video about 1,000 times while in high school during that time.............

I'll also take Brian Blade on any rented Black Gretsch Round Badge. He always plays rental kits on the road (he'll have that 24" Spizzichino!). I think hanging out with Brian would make me be a better musician, even if he never plays a single note. They guy just oozes musicality from doing normal, everyday things.
