I always try to have one or two extra set screws in the tom arms. These extra little things can be life savers for you if you drop one and can't find it.
No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Thank you all, and thank you K.O. for the tip of resizing. That seems to be the issue. New phone, so I didn't realize it was automatically sizing them large! Thanks! Excellent tips all around, especially about the set screws, did't even realize there were 4 different holes. That is handy! Now I have uploaded the pics, does it look right? More concerned about the ball and socket and how I have that mounted. It feels right. Thank you all so much for all the input. I have learned so much from this forum, I hope to pass on all the info gathered to others in the future!
