Thrift store SONOR kick-Pedal!

Loading...

I confess I had to use this a little bit when I had no other pedal, only for a short while, It came from a thrift store with a few other things like vintage Tom legs and a Gibraltar Monster snare stand, they were in the back room while I was loading up a cabinet, the girl who was assisting must have liked me because she sold it to me for a whopping 12 dollars all together!!!

Party

when I polished it up and asked my drum-dealing friend wether or not to use it for a rockabilly type project or to hang it on my wall and enjoy it's sentimental value for the rest of my life, he strongly advised me of the latter.

so what year might it be?

and what's it actually worth, I couldn't part with it because I LOVE the sheepskin beater!!! (sorry guys)

I can't find anything about it anywhere, other than it's german make.

all I can say is ; I LOVE VALUE VILLAGE!!!!

please enlighten me!

THANKS

-J

Just glancing around sonormuseum.com, I didn't find a perfect match but the footboard's the same as the 1969 standard pedal. You might be able to find a closer match going through the catalog scans there.

not sure about that , Mikey. lamb's wool beaters were more popular in the 40's but a lot of full production companies continued to offer them on and on.Trixon, for instance had 6 beaters catalogued by the late 60's----double sided, lamb's wool, felt, cork, wood and the special( common egg shaped one with the felt band around it,that is mostly associated with Trixon).Presumably, Sonor had a similar line because by the late 60's they had fallen well behind Trixon in almost all major markets(England, especially) and were caught in the -----do we make cheaper or do we make better quandry. I'm pretty sure ,that lamb's wool would have been an optional beater in 1969 for Sonor. Any body have catalogues?
