Three Dog Night Drums

Loading...

Last night, I was lucky enough to catch a great performance of Three Dog Night in Stevensville, Ontario. Pat Bautz, the drummer was exceptional. The only trouble was that we were so far away, I couldn't tell what kind of drums he was using. If anyone knows the preferred make, it would be appreciated. Just curious. Thanks.

Howdy neighbor. Try looking at this one and see if you can figure out if they are Pearl, Yamaha or TAMA.

Hello, John!

I hope you read my comment on the non-USA drums about the Stewart throw off. It was sincere. Now, as to Pat Bautz' drums. Judging from those long lugs and a bit of research, I would guess that this particular kit is a Pearl. Perhaps a Maple Custom. Of course, I may be wrong. I'm no expert in anything!

Thanks, Oddball! The rectangular badge is another indication that they are Pearls. That was a great help. I'll have to wait until jonnistix responds though. That guy is a fountain of knowledge. Thanks again, amigo!

I'm gonna say Yamaha-I went through 20-30 photo's and some showed the hardware, which is Yamaha ball/hex rod with a rack system. The previous photo looks like a different set-power toms.

Oddball, those drums are Yamaha's Recording Custom series.

And Floyd Snead had a badass groove back in the day, and may still!
