This pic is destined for Ralf's Star website - if it is not there already. Quite a beauty there! Seems that of all the Vintage MIJs that have recently (last decade) enjoyed a resurging cult following - it is STAR (badged, not just Star made).

Thanks Jay
Every so often, one might find a nice American made partial kit
with one MIJ drum standing in for the missing American drum
not often to find things the other way around
same deal with this bdp Stewart project
the bass drum is a Slingerland shell
rebuilt with the Star made, Sonor clone, hardware to match the Stewart toms
The Slingerland bass drum shell was a 5.00 Al Drew's drum graveyard deal
Jeepers that's a deal!

Just the stripped down shell and badge with plenty of extra drillings
but yes a heck of a deal just the same
Star did a nice job of matching Slingerland's choice of BDP both in shade and chip size
Some of the MIJ wraps were great looking. On the whole they did some nice work, but yea some are just spot on matches for the U.S. makers. Smart move on their part though.

Kenwood - Nice blue satin flame set. Your collection continues to grow. Have you still got space in your warehouse? When are you going to need more space?
