They've Arrived

Robyn's kit that she gifted me arrived today with no issues. I just set them up and took some quick pictures. She only sent the 13,16,22,14 and a Speed King pedal, I didn't really need the 12 and it would had taken an extra box. Thank you Robyn! And thanks to all who offered a kit.

Hey Robyn, ya I saw his signature, if you look at the same picture, you can see Derrick's signature on our wood floor. LoLoLoLo.

I'll definitely keep in touch, I really enjoy talking drums with you, thanks again.

Is there some back story about why someone is gifting Mark a drum set? Was there some sort of tragedy that left him drumless?

yes, Mark has been facing hardships that has resulted in him having to sell his drums. after going drumless for a while, he came to his forum buddies asking for help. with the help of another member here, I was able to step up to help out a fellow musician. I had this kit for just under 10 yrs with the last 5 yrs it stacked in a corner collecting dust. even though this kit had some sentimental value to me, the value it would have to another outweighed mine. and now Mark has a kit he can enjoy and help keep himself busy with.

Robyn, thanks for filling me in about the situation. I had not seen any of the back story. You did a very good deed for a drumming brother.
