I ordered the wrap for my floor tom {the green set posted above} from Explorers percussion. $85.00

Then, work on the wrap on the others with some buffing. I used Kit Scratch Out, and an automotive buffer on these. Check out the before and after. You'll be able to bring those babies back! They'll be worth the work....... And Sensitone's are great drums. What shell type? I really like the ally ones. Like an Acro on steroids.

Yeah. Just yur standard Sears auto buffer, and the Kit Scratchout polish. Good coat of wax afterwards. I was shocked at how much they improved.....

Where does one find that Kit Scratchout polish? I bought something called Plastix at an automotive store, it shined them up a bit, but not as good as I would like.

Hey JR, I have had good luck with Novus Polish. It is Novus 1,2 and 3. Be careful with it though. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. The heavier scratch removal type one can be very abrasive.Any auto store should have it.

I got it the local AutoZone store. Probably any of the fine abrasives'd work. Novus, etc. I've used a buffer and Meguire's "Mirror glaze" and plastic polish to take some bad scrapes out of a motorcycle windshield. Don't crash old Ducati's, parts are hard to come by! I do think alot of the effect came from using the power buffer. You could do it by hand, but it'll take*alot* longer.

Also, there's a good article in the Jan MD by JR Frondelli, on restoring damaged wrap..

Merry Christmas, Ya'll.............Bill D.
