I own one of these "Sonor Horst Link Signature Series hld 590" snare drums. They are amzing drums and quite rare as there were only about 200 ever made world wide.It cost Sonor a ton of money for tooling machines to make these seemless spun bell bronze snares as they`re 14x8 and 33Lbs in weight. There was also a huge margin for error in the making of these shells and many didn`t make it thro` to the selling market, thus the reason for there high price tags even back in the 80`s.I bought mine in 1988 and played it til` it paid for itself(about 1 1/2 yrs.) then put it away in it`s shipping box as an investment.I also have the matching " Horst Link Sig.Series stand that goes with it and these are even more rare than the drums themselves. These drums have incredible volume as well as very sensitive at low volumes-very versatile in deed.I`ll be posting pics of her on here soon as i didn`t see one in the forum anywhere.
Cheers,
Wayne
