The Magic of Ringo

I know there has been a lot said about Ringo on here and there are a lot of songs to display his unique drumming. During my nightly exercise, this one stood out to me, say what you will about technic and flashy drummers, but you can't teach imagination. There's two cymbal bell hits at the 1:10 mark. Intially I thought it was a mistake, because he'd been known to do that, but he repeats it again at the 2:00 mark, which leads me to believe it was no accident.

Anyway, give it a listen and feel the magic of Ringo.

Never noticed that before.Say what you want about his technical ability, but he is a Musician imo.

I’m with you, JR. Due to Covid I have been doing remote recording with friends alot lately. Try to play “Ticket to Ride.” During the verse, the last snare flam of each pattern is somewhere between a straight eighth note and an eighth note triplet. And whatever it is, it propels the tune forward to the next bar perfectly. I found it very difficult to do perfectly time after time.
