Wow...too cool...very nice job ....Maybe next time..do it with all wine labels...A label from a bottle of 1978 Chateau Lafite Rothschild ($1,200!), Chateau Margaux etc would be a nice touch......You could have lots of fun (hiccup!) collecting them....Just save the drinking until you are done working on the drum.....

Seriously! that is a great idea. Im sure my wife will like it too. Where is the pic you were gonna send me?

Thank you!

Jeff and Lynn,

That shell does look GREAT! I didn't have a clue Lynn's "cigar-band wrap" would come out looking anything like this when I cut down this shell for him a few months back!!

Done with calling baseball games for this year. Will be back to drums again... soon...

Cigar bands, wine labels... where does it end? The possibilities are endless:

Beer labels

Campbell soup labels

Baseball cards

Postage stamps

Foreign currency

Vintage photos (from the era of the shell)

Prescription bottle labels (for the Physician/drummer)

Oil can labels.

Vintage movie posters.

Sheet music.

What else? This could hurt Jammin Sam's business.

I like some of these ideas. Speaking of beer labels, Zakk Wylde hammered bottle caps into a Les Paul...I certainly would never do that to a drum, though! I have seen a snare drum that was covered in magazine cutouts of pinup girls. With that in mind, a collage of magazine clippings of muscle cars and hot rods might be cool. As you said, movie posters would be cool I think photo quality copies of your favorite album covers or concert posters would be real neat. I'm sure we could come up with some wild ideas.

Thanks Bill! And thanks again for doing the shell for me! I should have pictures of it all put together this weekend or early next week.
