This kit was, as you can see from the first pics, pretty nasty when I found it, but it was essentially all there, and I needed a project, so I deemed it worthy of restoring.
It is one of the North kits made in Italy by MTI so the shells are injection molded resin (I think?) rather than fiberglass like the early US made ones. They must be pretty durable, because this kit has some serious dings and gouges from being transported by mean people. I contemplated having them painted by an auto body shop, but the estimates I got from local shops were much more than I had hoped, so I did the best I could using automotive detailing products, and elbow grease.
I am still trying to adjust the rack mounts to my liking, but they sound good, crazy loud, but in a good way.
