We she has arrived. Not necessarily a vintage drum (2 years old), but this Ludwig Carl Palmer Venus snare looks virtually unplayed by the previous owner and came shipped in the original box. Thanks again to Gary who checked this out for me (and other drums and cymbals for others), paid the seller out of his own pocket before getting money from me (!!), packed and shipped the darn thing as well. What a guy. I got this $350 new snare for less than half of that price. Happy as a little kid. The pics don't do it justice. My plan is to do a proper shoot outdoors at some point. If anyone else has any experience with this snare I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks again to Gary :)

Sweet snare, Larry! I have the same problem shooting indoors, photos come out too dark. I want to see some outdoor shots so I can see the color/finish on the drum better.

Crank er up and enjoy!

You should be the one to post a review for us. As a first time owner of the drum, I'd be interested in what - you - think of it.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Just out of curiosity ,did the snare throwoff work properly?

I bought one about 2 months ago and had to return it because the snares would no fully disengage.

Seems to be a problem common to that snare.
